Stake, the rapidly expanding cryptocurrency betting and gaming operator, is set to sponsor kickboxing champion Tenshin Nasukawa’s highly anticipated boxing debut on Saturday, April 8th.
The undefeated Japanese kickboxing legend, who retired in 2022 with a 40-0 record, previously faced boxing icon Floyd Mayweather in 2018. Nasukawa is set to fight against Yuki Yonaha, Japan’s No. 4 ranked bantamweight. The event will be held at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena, which boasts a 15,000-seat capacity and has hosted both the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics, as well as concerts by Billie Eilish and Charlie XCX.
This marks Stake’s fourth major boxing sponsorship in Japan within the past year, having previously supported high-profile matches, including the World Middleweight unification bout between Gennady Golovkin and Ryōta Murata, the anticipated rematch between Naoya Inoue and Nonito Donaire, and the Light Flyweight title match featuring Kenshiro Teraji and Hiroto Kyoguchi.
As the event’s official betting partner, Stake’s branding will be prominently displayed on Nasukawa’s gloves, throughout the stadium, and in the ring. The Prime Video Presents Live Boxing card also features other exciting matchups, such as Kenshiro Teraji vs. Anthony Olascuaga for the Unified WBC, WBA, and WBO World Light Flyweight Championship and Kiko Martinez taking on Reiya Abe. The card concludes with Takuma Inoue vs. Liborio Solis for the WBA World Bantamweight Championship, all streamed live on Amazon Prime’s Live Boxing series.
Stake’s sponsorship of Nasukawa’s debut adds to its extensive global sports sponsorship portfolio, which includes partnerships with Formula One’s Alfa Romeo F1 Team, English Premier League club Everton, international multi-platinum artist Drake, and more.
Akhil Sarin, Stake.com Director of Acquisition, commented, “We’re delighted to continue supporting the biggest events in boxing worldwide and are very excited to become the official betting partner for Tenshin Nasukawa’s official debut. The southpaw is one of the biggest stars in Japan, and everyone at Stake is excited to watch his progress in the boxing world as he pursues future world championship opportunities.”
