Family-run businesses often carry something special—trust built over decades, a closer connection to customers, and a deep sense of community. That kind of personal touch tends to stand out in a world full of big, faceless corporations. BoyleSports, rooted in that tradition, is now stepping into a bold new chapter with its biggest UK investment yet.
The Ireland-based bookmaker is putting over £100 million into a large-scale UK relaunch, which includes opening more than 200 new betting shops, a major technology overhaul, and a fresh brand identity. Leading the push is a new shirt sponsorship with Premier League club West Ham United.
Good to know
This investment follows two years of planning under the leadership of CEO Vlad Kaltenieks. Since his arrival, BoyleSports has focused on expanding its team and strategy, bringing on senior hires like Troy Cox as chief commercial officer.
“This relaunch marks a major milestone for BoyleSports as we bring over four decades of betting expertise to a new era in the UK,” said Kaltenieks. “The UK is one of the most exciting, well-regulated, and competitive betting landscapes in the world and we believe we offer something genuinely different to customers.”
The company already operates more than 300 stores between Ireland and the UK, but only around 50 are currently in the UK. The plan to open over 200 more stores shows clear intent to grow on the British high street. BoyleSports also confirmed the move will create over 1,000 jobs, reinforcing its focus on community-level engagement.
The relaunch is being shaped around customer feedback. Areas of focus include improved technology across the sportsbook platform and more seamless service both online and in-store. This aligns with the company’s core approach, which has always focused on trust, service, and a consistent experience across channels.
As part of the refresh, BoyleSports will roll out a new look. The update includes a modern logo, cleaner typography, and a colour scheme designed to stand out online and in shops. The company says the brand changes reflect a stronger focus on user-friendly design, personalised offers, and expert insight.
BoyleSports will also step into the Premier League spotlight through its sponsorship of West Ham United. Chief Commercial Officer Troy Cox called the partnership a strong fit. “West Ham is one of the most iconic clubs in the Premier League and our partnership marks a powerful alignment between two proud, ambitious brands,” he said.
With a blend of tradition and modernisation, BoyleSports is aiming to become a bigger name in the UK betting scene—while still keeping that family-run spirit at its core.
Can a business built on personal service and community values succeed on a national scale? Time will tell, but BoyleSports is betting on it.
