Betsson Group, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, has a long history of supporting winter sports and is pleased to announce that Betsson Sweden will be the Grönklitt Ski Classics’ new partner.
The 14th year of Ski Classics is already underway, with 14 events spread across 10 weekends in six different nations. Sweden currently hosts two events, the Vasaloppet and the Grönklitt Criterium.
Interest in the Ski Classics has grown in recent years, thanks to appealing Broadcast formats and a mix of amateur and world-class skiers. The full Ski Classic will be carried live on Sveriges Television for the second year in a row (SVT).
Betsson will appear on the skiers’ clothes and around the course as part of the promotion, as well as giving odds on the best racers.
The Grönklitt Ski Classics will begin on Saturday, February 18, 2023, with a mass start for ladies at 08:00 AM and a mass start for men at 10:30 AM.
Johan Sares, Facility Manager at Orsa Grönklitt, said:
“We are very happy to have Betsson as the new partner to the Grönklitt Criterium. Betsson has a long tradition of supporting winter sports, and they are well known for their commitment to ice hockey but also cross-country skiing, such as the Swedish Ski competition in Falun.”
PR Manager at Betsson Sweden, Robin Olenius, added:
“We are excited to contribute to a more enjoyable and engaging experience for everyone by supporting the race and offering odds on the skiers. We have sponsored several sporting events over the years, but Grönklitt Criterium is a unique event that brings together amateur enthusiasts and the world’s elite, and we are proud to be part of it.”
