Leading online gambling business Betsson has announced that it will be the official sponsor of the 26th IHF Women’s World Championship, which will be held in conjunction with Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The competition, which will include 32 national teams competing for the coveted title, is set to take place from November 29 to December 17, 2023. In order to express their support for women’s sports, Betsson’s logo will be prominently displayed on LED displays across the arenas hosting the tournaments.
The International Handball Federation (IHF) president, Hassan Moustafa, expressed his happiness at receiving Betsson as a partner for the Women’s World Championship. He stated, “We have partnered up with online gaming company Betsson. Together, we set a clear aim – to excite!” The partnership between Betsson and IHF demonstrates their common commitment to advancing women’s sports and producing an exciting competition.
Robin Olenius, the PR manager of Betsson, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting women’s sports and global participation. Olenius stated, “This sponsorship aligns with our commitment to promoting and supporting women’s sports. We hope that through our support of the tournament and our global presence, we will help to increase the excitement globally.” A second example of Betsson’s continued support for women’s sports is its prior sponsorship of the Copa América Femenina 2022, the women’s version of CONMEBOL’s Copa América football competition.
Betsson participates in many women’s sports than only handball and football. The organization also serves as the primary sponsor of Athletico Paranaense and Club Atletico Boca Juniors’ women’s football teams, demonstrating their commitment to supporting female athletes in all sports.
The IHF Women’s World Championship is expected to benefit from greater publicity and support as a result of Betsson’s partnership with the event, encouraging a worldwide celebration of women’s handball and the extraordinary athletes vying for victory.
