In order to become the exclusive online sportsbook and casino partner of USA Today Sports, BetMGM has signed a multi-year collaboration with Gannett. This agreement will see BetMGM’s sports betting odds integrated into USA Today’s sports stories, increasing information for readers.
The agreement aims to enrich USA Today’s sports coverage by incorporating BetMGM’s betting odds directly into the publication’s content. Gannett Chairman and CEO Michael Reed expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to announce a re-imagined partnership with BetMGM, a trusted operator in the sports betting landscape.” He emphasized that this collaboration would drive audience growth and boost content monetization, especially with the football season underway.
Reed further noted, “We believe BetMGM complements our existing portfolio of partners and will enable us to drive further audience growth and engagement.”
BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt also highlighted the benefits of this alliance. He said, “BetMGM is proud to partner with Gannett and the USA TODAY Network. Their unrivaled reach at a local and national level enables us to connect with a massive audience.” Greenblatt underscored that integrating odds and insights into Gannett’s content will enhance fan engagement with their favorite teams and games. He expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential to amplify the excitement of sports betting throughout the football season and beyond.
Additionally, MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have teamed up with the American Gaming Association (AGA) to promote responsible gaming awareness in September, aligning with Responsible Gaming Education Month. This ongoing collaboration emphasizes the commitment to safe gambling practices and promotes Gamesense, a program developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) in 2017.
