Global sports betting company bet365 has officially chosen Denver for its U.S. headquarters, creating nearly 1,000 jobs. This decision was announced by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and Governor Jared Polis, marking a big step for the British-based company in expanding its U.S. presence.
bet365’s new office is located at One Platte on Platte Street, currently employing around 50 people. The company plans to hire over 300 new employees within its first year of operation in Denver. These new roles will cover technology, marketing, legal, and customer service.
Governor Jared Polis expressed excitement about the company’s decision to set up in Colorado. He said, “We are thrilled to welcome bet365 and nearly 1,000 jobs to Colorado and congratulate them on the grand opening of their new U.S. headquarters here. bet365 will create nearly 1,000 new good-paying jobs and as many as 300 this year that will help Coloradans earn a good living and support their families.”
The expansion is being supported by up to $14 million in performance-based job growth incentive tax credits. These credits, approved by the Colorado Economic Development Commission, will be available over an eight-year period if the company meets specific job creation and salary targets.
Raymond H. Gonzales, President of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, emphasized the impact of bet365’s move. He said, “With the aid of OEDIT’s incentives investment, this project will not only create up to 1,000 high-quality jobs but also solidify Denver’s reputation as a hub for innovation and business. We look forward to the lasting impact this partnership will have on our community, driving both economic opportunity and vibrancy for Denver’s downtown for years to come.”
Gonzales further added that this project will offer long-term benefits, strengthening Denver’s reputation as a center of growth and opportunity. Founded in 2000, bet365 operates globally and employs more than 7,000 people across different locations.
