Monumental Sports Entertainment (MSE) has partnered with cryptocurrency exchange FTX US in a “multi-year deal.” As announced on Monday December 20, FTX US will become “the official cryptocurrency exchange and non-fungible token (NFT) partner for MSE and its properties.”

The NHL’s Washington Capitals, NBA’s Wizards, WNBA’s Mystics, and Capital City Go-Go are all part of MSE and included in the deal. According to the announcement, MSE is embracing “next-generation engagement to increase brand awareness.” With the NFT partnership, the “FTX US NFT platform will have exclusive rights to future NFT drops by Monumental Sports teams.”

Founded by American investor and former America Online (AOL) executive, Ted Leonis, MSE is also the co-owner of Axiomatic, which manages the popular esports franchise Team Liquid.

Jim Van Stone, MSE president and Chief Commercial Officer said a statement:

“Monumental Sports & Entertainment is thrilled to be working with FTX to bring the leading cryptocurrency exchange to the most loyal and sophisticated fans in the country.”

FTX will be the official presenting partner for a highlight series called: FTX US “Big Block-Chain,” which will received attention on social media, during in-game announcements, and on  arena LED signage.

FTX is reportedly also still in talks with Spanish La Liga FC Barcelona for a multi-year sponsorship deal.

In the meantime, all eyes are on FTX’s Superbowl advertisement that it recently secured for Super Bowl LVI that will be held on February 13.

FTX cannot be missed by the eyes of sports fanatics and seems to have covered all bases. The exchange went all-in on sports advertising this year, signing deals with the Major League Baseball, the Miami Heat, Formula 1 Racing Team Mercedes (Lewis Hamilton) and starring seven-time super bowl champion Tom Brady in their new commercial.
