After Massachusetts and Ohio, the Virginia Lottery Board authorized Betr to provide mobile sports betting in March, making Virginia the third state where the app would be operational. Betr's Expansion Plans Betr recently made a successful $35 million financing round announcement and verified its Virginia licensing, indicating its impending debut. The Miami-based business plans to continue growing by entering other states, including Indiana. The co-founder and CEO of Betr, Joey Levy, disclosed that they have been gaining market access in several jurisdictions and would make the announcements on their growth when they are prepared. Shaking Up the Virginia Sports Betting Scene The already robust legal sports betting industry in Virginia is anticipated to get a little more exciting with Betr's arrival into the market. At the moment, BetMGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel are the market leaders. From January through May of this year, FanDuel held the greatest market share (41.57%), followed by DraftKings (26.4%) and BetMGM (13.46%). Expanding Betr's Offerings Levy claims that Betr is progressing in a way that is both efficient and cost-effective, despite the fact that the firm has not yet significantly increased its handle or income in Ohio or Massachusetts.
