The exclusive betting data rights deal between Sportradar Group AG and UEFA has been extended to include non-exclusive rights for data distribution to media outlets that do not cover sports betting. Through this multi-year agreement, Sportradar will also get access to sophisticated tracking data, which will improve its AI-powered goods and services.

All UEFA Club and National team competitions, including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League, are currently covered by the agreement. The European Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, UEFA EURO 2028, UEFA Nations League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, and the UEFA European Under-21 Championships for 2025 and 2027 are also included. With the new formats taking effect in the 2024–2025 season, Sportradar will now offer statistics for over 900 high-profile matches annually, a 33% increase over the previous number.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA Marketing Director, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Three years ago we embarked on a journey with Sportradar to tap into the value of match data for betting purposes. Sportradar brings to the table a wealth of experience in this field and we are delighted to be continuing this successful partnership for the next three years. As part of the agreement, we will also be continuing our long-standing cooperation to protect the integrity of UEFA and our member associations’ competitions.”

Integrity and Innovation

The extended agreement also renews the 15-year integrity partnership between UEFA and Sportradar. This collaboration includes dedicated intelligence and investigation resources, systematic bet monitoring, and education services to prevent, detect, and investigate match-fixing. These efforts support UEFA’s Anti Match-Fixing Unit in maintaining the integrity of its competitions.

Carsten Koerl, CEO of Sportradar, highlighted the strategic importance of the agreement: “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with UEFA, offering our clients and soccer fans worldwide unparalleled engagement and value through cutting-edge solutions and comprehensive data coverage. This agreement supports our strategic focus on selectively investing in long-term rights across key global sports, enabling ongoing innovation and enhancement of our offerings.”
