The longest partnership in esports history will continue going strong. Esports organization Team Liquid announced to extend its 10-year partnership with gaming hardware brand Alienware.
In celebration of this ten-year partnership, three new initiatives will be pushed. First off, to increase fan engagement, Alienware will be the official sponsor of Team Liquid’s new program, Liquid+. This is a program dedicated to reward fans who mainly engage with the popular esports team online. Secondly, there will be new technology and facility upgrades coming this year. Lastly, Alienware and Team Liquid have placed diversification on their agenda. They will create community opportunities to help the ones who are yet underrepresented in esports.
Steve Arhancet, co-CEO of Team Liquid, commented on the renewal of the agreement in what basically seemed a no-brainer for the two partners.
“Alienware and Team Liquid have been partners for a decade because we dream hard and work even harder. In our next chapter, we’re going bigger than we ever have by introducing programs that contribute to fans and players, starting with our Liquid+ launch, and open up the esports industry to underrepresented voices. Our plans are bold, but so are we, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Alienware and Liquid.”
