Sporttrade Launches Sports Betting App in Arizona with Quechan Tribe Partnership

Share

Sporttrade, a sports betting company with its headquarters in Philadelphia, has officially released its app in Arizona, its fourth state in the union. This launch comes after a strategic alliance with the Quechan Tribe of the Arizona and California-based Fort Yuma Indian Reservation. Sporttrade wants to differentiate itself in the competitive Arizona industry by offering a distinctive betting experience with this debut. In addition, the corporation provides exchange wagering services in New Jersey and operates in Iowa and Colorado.

Transitioning from Unibet

Sporttrade is stepping into the Arizona market by taking over the license formerly held by Unibet, which exited the U.S. market in June. The transition allows Sporttrade to bring its innovative betting platform to a new audience eager for fresh options. “Today we’re incredibly proud to announce we’ve launched in Arizona,” said Alex Kane, Sporttrade Founder and CEO. “There is impressive demand for our offering in Arizona because players want a premium option.”

Kane emphasized the advantages of the Sporttrade app, highlighting features such as exceptional pricing, rapid bet acceptance, and the option to view odds in an intuitive probability-based format. He expressed gratitude toward the Arizona Department of Gaming, the company’s players, partners, and the dedicated Sporttrade team.

The partnership with the Quechan Tribe aims to expand gaming opportunities across Arizona. Quechan President Jordan Joaquin expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Quechan’s statewide mobile sports betting partnership with Sporttrade introduces an exciting new platform of wagering and will provide new and expanded gaming opportunities throughout Arizona, which will provide economic benefits for our tribe.”

Players in Arizona can now place bets using the Sporttrade iOS and Android applications. The state allows 20 online sports betting licenses, with half required to partner with tribal nations. According to reports, Arizona’s operators recorded a betting handle of $3.78 billion during the first half of 2024. However, the market has faced turbulence recently, with several smaller operators, including WynnBet and Unibet, exiting the state over the summer. Most recently, Betfred announced its plans to cease operations in Arizona by November 4th, further reshaping the landscape.
