Sportradar Group AG has appointed Behshad Behzadi as its Chief Technology Officer and Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CTO and CAIO). Based at the company’s Swiss headquarters, Behzadi will report directly to CEO Carsten Koerl.
Behzadi’s role will focus on leveraging AI and cutting-edge technology to enhance Sportradar’s product offerings. By fostering collaboration across the organization, the aim is to deliver highly personalized experiences for sports enthusiasts.

Sportradar, known for its extensive global sports data coverage, aims to use AI to boost business efficiency and deliver enhanced value to customers and stakeholders.
CEO Carsten Koerl expressed pride in Behzadi’s appointment, emphasizing his expertise in AI and product strategy. Behzadi said,

With over two decades of experience, Behzadi has been instrumental in Google’s AI strategy, contributing to the development of breakthrough technologies like Google Assistant and Google Lens. His expertise spans various domains including machine learning and natural language processing.
Behzadi holds a PhD in Bioinformatics and has conducted postdoctoral research at prestigious institutions.
