Premier horse races from Malaysia will be included into SIS (Sports Information Services), which is well-known for its round-the-clock live betting services. This will improve the racing material on SIS. This growth comes after a strategic agreement with Singapore Pools, the company that owns the rights to simulcast races from the Selangor and Perak Turf Clubs internationally. Through this collaboration, SIS will be able to offer 738 annual races, including esteemed Group 1 competitions like the Perak Coronation Cup and the Selangor Gold Cup.
The introduction of Malaysian races offers increased wagering opportunities worldwide. Bettors can engage with these events through fixed-odds wagering, a format that SIS’s Trading team will price using local Tote odds. This approach ensures consistency, as SIS employs similar methods in other markets across Asia and the US. Fixed-odds wagering is expected to enhance engagement by providing a familiar betting format popular in many jurisdictions.
This deal with Singapore Pools is part of SIS’s broader strategy to expand its extensive library of over 36,000 annual horse races. Recently, SIS has also added premium fixtures from Korea and Poland and renewed rights to showcase premier racing from Spain. These additions reflect SIS’s commitment to delivering diverse and high-quality racing content to its global audience.
Conall McSorley, Head of Racing at SIS, emphasized the significance of the Asian market, noting that Malaysian horse racing consistently delivers quality. He stated, “By enhancing our Live Racing portfolio with action from Selangor and Perak along with presenting fixed-odds wagering opportunities, we firmly believe the comprehensive offering will be positively received across the globe.”
Simon Leong, Chief Product Officer of Singapore Pools, echoed this sentiment, saying, “We look forward to this partnership and bringing quality races from Malaysia to a wider audience. Together, we are delighted to enhance our cooperation with SIS to deliver top-quality international racing content and contribute to the growth of the sport.”
