At BetMGM, spread bettors leaned toward Seattle, accounting for 57 percent of handle. Moneyline action told a different story, with nearly 70 percent of wagers backing New England. The contrast helped balance exposure once the Seahawks pulled away.
Christian Cipollini summed up the outcome. He said:
“Super Bowl bettors cashed in on the Seahawks covering. The under hitting and only four touchdowns being scored was a great result for us.”
While Seattle moved the ball consistently, five field goals replaced touchdowns. Jason Myers set a Super Bowl record, which later fueled unexpected MVP betting interest.
At Caesars Sportsbook, the spread held steady after opening. One bettor cashed a 200,000 spread wager on Seattle. Joey Feazel noted unusual moneyline volume for a Super Bowl favorite saying:
“Players generally fared well on this matchup. Leading up to game day, we saw a high volume of Seattle Seahawks moneyline wagers at -230, far more than we typically expect on the favorite moneyline for a Super Bowl.”
The biggest shift arrived at Circa Sports. Five of seven seven figure bets backed New England, including a late wager that helped offset heavy futures exposure. Earlier in the season, a bettor locked in a 50,000 Seattle futures ticket that paid 3.75 million. Hedging and late money flipped what looked like a losing day.
Derek Stevens explained the reversal and said:
“I never would’ve thought we would have a winning day, but we ended up with a very good day. One of the best Super Bowls that Circa Sports has ever had.”
Player props and MVP markets stayed active throughout the game. Kenneth Walker III claimed Super Bowl MVP after rushing for 135 yards. At +700 at BetMGM, Walker drew 6.3 percent of tickets and 5.3 percent of handle.

BetMGM reported strong volume on Drake Maye over 35.5 rushing yards. Walker also cleared 20.5 receiving yards, while Cooper Kupp topped 3.5 receptions at +120. Unders that hit included Stefon Diggs receptions, Smith-Njigba receiving yards, and Rhamondre Stevenson rushing attempts.
At DraftKings, Sam Darnold 200 plus passing yards ranked as the most bet prop and cashed at -251. One bettor turned 500 into 60,000 by backing A J Barner to score first. Another converted a 10 dollar parlay into 15,000.
Novelty betting again drew heavy interest. The coin toss resolved the fastest but carried some of the largest wagers. One Caesars customer won more than 245,000 when the coin landed on heads after being flipped by Joe Montana, even though most money landed on tails.
Feazel addressed the moment by noting:
“Despite its simplicity, the coin toss drew substantial interest, including two of our biggest wagers of the entire Super Bowl.”
Other novelty results included yellow or lime Gatorade at BetMGM, no safety, no overtime, and a touchback on the opening kickoff. Ontario bettors also cashed under 116.5 seconds for the national anthem. Bad Bunny song Titi Me Pregunto opened the halftime show at FanDuel Canada.
Seattle covered the 4.5 point spread with a 29 to 13 win.
