Rei do Pitaco has secured one of Brazil’s first definitive licenses to operate online sports betting and gaming. The approval came from the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA), placing the company among an exclusive group of 14 operators granted full licenses. An additional 52 companies received provisional approvals from the 114 applicants.
Rei do Pitaco plans to expand beyond its daily fantasy sports (DFS) origins to establish itself as a leading online sportsbook in Brazil. The move aligns with the country’s regulated sports betting market, which officially launches in January 2025. The shift marks a pivotal step for the company as it leverages its position to tap into Brazil’s growing gaming market.
