PrizePicks has teamed up with Kindbridge Behavioral Health to provide clinical services at no upfront cost to its players and customer-facing staff, marking a significant move towards supporting responsible gaming.
This collaboration aims to address problem gaming prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts. PrizePicks will cover all initial costs for support services, ensuring immediate access to clinical assessments, care plan development sessions, and educational resources for players and employees.
The program will roll out across all 35 jurisdictions where PrizePicks operates Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS).
Adam Wexler, Co-Founder, and CEO of PrizePicks emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “We are proud to partner with Kindbridge and to be the first operator to cover program costs entirely, removing a significant barrier to access.”
He added, “It’s essential that the fantasy sports industry invests and innovates in responsible gaming. This initiative strengthens PrizePicks’ role in promoting social responsibility.”
Daniel Umfleet, Founder, and CEO of Kindbridge Behavioral Health applauded PrizePicks’ proactive approach, saying, “It is inspiring to see a DFS operator actively providing essential care resources to their audience.”
He continued, “Many individuals struggling with gaming-related health issues face significant financial barriers. This collaboration is a pivotal step toward eliminating these barriers.”
Phil Sherwood, Senior Director of Responsible Gaming at PrizePicks, highlighted the financial challenges individuals face in accessing healthcare, even with insurance.
“Partnering with Kindbridge allows us to help those individuals who wish to take preventative measures with a variety of world-class mental health services at no cost to them,” Sherwood said.
This partnership signifies a commitment to creating a healthier gaming environment and providing support to those who need it most.
