In honor of Responsible Gaming Education Month and to support its efforts towards responsible gaming, PrizePicks has announced a new partnership with Epic Global Solutions (Epic). Through this agreement, PrizePicks staff members will receive better assistance and instruction on ethical gaming practices.
Employees at PrizePicks will gain access to extensive training sessions conducted by Epic’s team of responsible gaming experts as part of the new agreement. Important subjects include identifying problem gambling symptoms, putting responsible gaming policies in place, and using successful preventative techniques will all be covered in these seminars.
Phil Sherwood, Senior Director of Responsible Gaming at PrizePicks, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “At PrizePicks our aim is to set and continuously raise the standard for responsible gaming in the DFS space and we look forward to working with Epic to strengthen our internal RG resources.” Sherwood further emphasized that these educational sessions are designed to create safer, more enjoyable gaming experiences, ultimately enhancing the overall gaming ecosystem.
In addition to the training sessions, Epic will carry out an organizational assessment at PrizePicks. This evaluation will help identify areas for improvement in the company’s responsible gaming practices. The insights gained will guide the development of actionable recommendations to be integrated into PrizePicks’ responsible gaming strategy.
Teresa Fiore, VP of Partnerships at Epic, expressed her excitement about the partnership, saying, “We’re delighted to be working with PrizePicks to identify responsible gaming opportunities throughout the organization.” Fiore highlighted that Epic’s team, including experts with personal experiences of gaming addiction, will provide valuable perspectives and insights. “Our team of subject matter experts and researchers look forward to evaluating how these can be applied within PrizePicks, and trust that the workshops we’ll be delivering through facilitators with lived experience of gaming addiction will empower employees with insights into how their work can be used to mitigate harms,” she added.
