Operator of daily fantasy sports (DFS) PrizePicks has unveiled The Esports Lab, their newest project that aims to serve as a unique reference center for new fantasy sports fans.
Users can access live matches, instructional materials, and statistics for a range of sports, including well-known video games like League of Legends, Dota 2, and CS2, through the Esports Lab digital platform.
Adam Wexler, Co-founder and CEO of PrizePicks, expressed his enthusiasm for the launch, stating, “The Esports Lab is truly a first-of-its-kind product innovation. PrizePicks has been an innovator across categories since its inception, investing in areas that our community members love, with esports being at the forefront.”
The launch of The Esports Lab follows PrizePick’s recent expansion plans for its Atlanta headquarters, aiming to create an additional 1,000 jobs in the region. Additionally, new appointments such as Renee White as Chief People Officer and Phil Sherwood as Senior Director of Responsible Gaming were announced in early April.
Adam Boothe, Senior Director of Esports at PrizePicks, highlighted the platform’s role in educating traditional sports fans about esports. He said, “The Esports Lab provides educational resources and in-depth research digestible for newcomers. With the addition of live streaming capabilities and real-time scoring, it is an unparalleled offering that will play a crucial role in expanding esports to the masses.”
As esports continue to surge in popularity, PrizePicks aims to provide a seamless entry point for fans looking to explore fantasy sports in the dynamic world of competitive gaming.
