By obtaining Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) accreditation from the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), PrizePicks has accomplished a noteworthy industry milestone. PrizePicks is now the first operator of daily fantasy sports (DFS) to be certified by this esteemed organization.
CEO Mike Ybarra emphasized the importance of this recognition: “This certification is a powerful recognition of the culture we’ve built at PrizePicks, and an incredible honor that underscores our unwavering commitment to putting player safety first.”
He also acknowledged the NCPG for its thorough evaluation and credited the company’s team for leading the way in responsible gaming practices.
The iCAP accreditation process, developed by the NCPG, involves an independent review of an operator’s responsible gaming policies. It assesses key areas such as Know Your Customer (KYC) measures, customer service, regulatory compliance, work culture, and player protection efforts.
NCPG Director of Programs Jaime Costello praised PrizePicks for its leadership in responsible gaming: “We are proud to recognize PrizePicks as the first daily fantasy sports operator to receive iCAP accreditation. This achievement highlights their unwavering commitment to player protection and promoting positive play, setting a new benchmark for excellence in the industry.”
Beyond achieving iCAP certification, PrizePicks collaborates with organizations dedicated to responsible gaming, compliance, and mental health. Key partnerships include Kindbridge Behavioral Health, Epic Global Solutions, and IC360.
The NCPG’s evaluation ensured that PrizePicks aligns with the highest Internet Responsible Gaming (IRG) standards, incorporating best practices from regulated markets worldwide.
