Delaware players placed $26.3 million in sports wagers in November, nearly tripling the handle reported during the same month in 2023. The state’s latest sports lottery report highlights continued growth in sports betting activity.
Players purchased close to 1.4 million tickets last month and took home $22 million in winnings. The state’s net proceeds reached nearly $2.7 million, with Delaware collecting over $1.7 million as its share.
Delaware Park led the way, generating more than $15 million in sports sales, accounting for over half of the state’s handle. Harrington followed with $4.9 million in sales. Local retailers secured the third spot, contributing $4 million, while Bally’s Dover reported $2 million in sales to take fourth place.
So far this fiscal year, Delaware’s sports betting handle has reached $92.7 million, with over 5 million tickets sold. These figures underline the consistent growth of sports wagering in the First State since its legalization.
Delaware was one of the first states to allow sports betting after the Supreme Court struck down PASPA in May 2018. Since then, 38 states have launched regulated sports betting markets, reshaping the gambling industry across the U.S.
