Sports betting in New Hampshire set a new benchmark for public funding in fiscal year 2025, delivering $39 million to support the state’s schools. That’s up from $37 million in FY2023, continuing a trend of steady growth since wagering launched in 2019.
Good to know
The latest fiscal year saw nearly 9% growth in both betting volume and value compared to the prior year. Big sporting events played a major role — the Super Bowl and March Madness alone drew $27.5 million in wagers.
November 2024 stood out as a record month, with mobile bets topping $75 million and generating $4.5 million for public education.
Since sports betting began in 2019, New Hampshire players have placed 107 million wagers totaling almost $4 billion. The activity has now generated more than $153 million for education statewide.
Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director of the New Hampshire Lottery, credited the achievement to a clear mission:
“We are extremely proud to have delivered a record amount of funding to support public education. Maximizing revenue to support the students, teachers and schools of our state is what drives us every day.”
Sports betting in the state is currently offered through one exclusive mobile operator and five retail locations. More outlets are on the way, including a new sportsbook at The Nash Casino. Additional retail activity is expected to add momentum, along with growing interest in live betting.
The Lottery also highlighted that New Hampshire Casino Salem has opened the first of its three planned development phases, signaling more entertainment and wagering options ahead.
