The well-known motorsports organization NASCAR and Sportradar have joined forces to announce a substantial four-year extension to their long-standing cooperation regarding media data rights. By combining betting data, this addition is ready to add a completely new dimension, enhancing the experience for both fans and stakeholders.
As part of this deal, Sportradar will start providing sports betting data in addition to live timing and scoring data to NASCAR’s digital media partners. The crucial relevance of this relationship in creating NASCAR’s sports betting strategy was stressed by Joe Solosky, Director of Sports Betting at NASCAR. He emphasized the need of protecting product integrity and providing approved casino operators and media partners with exact data quickly. Solosky explained, “The addition of official betting data to the partnership will continue to drive NASCAR’s rapid growth in the sports betting space and allow fans to become even more involved with the sport.”
In September 2020, NASCAR began its foray into the world of legal sports betting, making history as the first sports league to ally with the American Gambling Association (AGA). Since then, sports betting on NASCAR has been incredibly popular. According to bookies, wagers on NASCAR increased by an astounding 51.5% in 2022 compared to the previous year.
Famous brands like BetMGM, FanDuel, and Penn Entertainment are among the permitted NASCAR gambling providers, further highlighting the sport’s expanding prominence in the global sports betting industry. With this expansion of their relationship, NASCAR and Sportradar hope to keep advancing fan engagement and innovation in the dynamic world of racing.
