Fanatics Sportsbook is now up and running in Kansas, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion into the sports betting market. This comes on the heels of Fanatics Betting and Gaming’s successful acquisition of PointsBet’s US operations last August, a deal poised for completion by the end of March.
Kansas sports betting enthusiasts can look forward to a seamless transition to Fanatics Sportsbook, as the company plans to automatically transfer PointsBet users’ account details, including usernames, passwords, balances, and rewards points, to their new Fanatics Sportsbook accounts.
This approach to customer account migration is not new; Fanatics has implemented similar processes in New York, Indiana, Iowa, and Michigan. These moves have demonstrated the company’s capability to ensure a smooth transition for bettors to their expanding platform.
While Fanatics Casino operates exclusively in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, Fanatics Sportsbook’s reach has extended to more than a dozen states. These include, but are not limited to, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, and Tennessee, with retail locations spread across the country. Just this week, a new retail venue was inaugurated in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The sportsbook offers a variety of features designed to enhance the user experience. Among these are the FanCash rewards program, a Discover page, and advanced search functions, all aimed at providing a superior betting experience.
In the midst of its expansion, Fanatics has become embroiled in a legal dispute with DraftKings. The contention arose after DraftKings accused former employee and now Fanatics President, VP, and Head of the LA Office Michael Hermalyn of downloading proprietary documents onto a non-DraftKings device and engaging in staff poaching.
