Kaizen Gaming confirmed an acquisition that will bring new artificial intelligence tools into its sports betting technology stack. The company announced Tuesday that it has acquired GameplAI, an AI focused sports trading and analytics provider.
Kaizen Gaming ranks among the largest GameTech companies globally and operates the online sportsbook and iGaming brand Betano, active across Europe, South America, and Ontario in Canada. Integration of GameplAI technology will support development of Betano sportsbook products.
Good to Know
GameplAI focuses on artificial intelligence systems designed for sports trading, analytics, and pricing tools used by sportsbooks. After the acquisition, Kaizen Gaming plans to integrate the company technology directly into its internal platform.
Goal centers on improving automation across sportsbook operations and strengthening risk management systems. Advanced analytics can help trading teams manage betting markets faster while adjusting odds and monitoring betting activity in real time.
Christos Tzalavras, chief product officer at Kaizen Gaming, described the deal as part of the company long term product strategy:
“GameplAI brings deep expertise in AI-driven trading and analytics, and we are excited to integrate their proprietary technology into our ecosystem. What stood out to us throughout this process was the strong cultural alignment between our teams, a shared focus on innovation. execution, and performance.”
Financial terms connected to the acquisition were not disclosed.
GameplAI founders and staff will remain active after the transaction closes. The team will support technology development and help guide the next stage of growth under Kaizen Gaming ownership.
Company leadership also confirmed that GameplAI will continue operating its business to business services, meaning external sportsbook partners can still access the technology.
GameplAI was co founded by Graham Savage and Nikos Volakis. Volakis said the partnership opens a new phase for the company:
“From the outset, it was clear that our teams share a deep passion for innovation, precision, and pushing the boundaries of what technology can achieve in sports trading. With Kaizen Gaming scale and strategic vision, we are confident that our combined capabilities will unlock new levels of automation, accuracy and performance.”
Betano remains unfamiliar to many sports bettors in the United States. Presence in North America currently focuses on Ontario, one of the largest regulated sports betting markets in Canada.
The sportsbook has developed a reputation for offering detailed player prop markets, including bets on player fouls or minutes played during games. Betano also promotes player protection policies across its regulated markets.
Kaizen Gaming continues expanding brand awareness through sports partnerships. One example includes involvement with UEFA EURO 2024. The company also reached a two year sponsorship agreement with Aston Villa before the 2024–25 Premier League season, placing the Betano brand on the club front of shirt.
