Hollywood Casino Launches ESPN BET Sportsbooks

Penn Entertainment is bringing ESPN Bet to life with the launch of retail sportsbooks at Hollywood Casino properties in York and Grantville, Pennsylvania. While ESPN Bet has been available online in the state since November 2023, these locations mark the brand’s entry into in-person sports betting in Pennsylvania.

The retail launch stems from a 10-year agreement Penn Entertainment signed with ESPN in August 2023. The deal, worth $1.5 billion, granted Penn exclusive rights to use the ESPN brand for its sports betting operations.

Hollywood Casino Vice President and General Manager Tony Frabbiele highlighted the value of combining ESPN’s trusted name with the casino’s entertainment offerings. “We’re thrilled to bring the excitement of ESPN Bet to life with the launch of our new retail sportsbook,” Frabbiele said. “This partnership combines the trusted ESPN brand with our world-class gaming and entertainment experience, creating a premier destination for sports fans to watch, wager and win.”

The two initial locations are just the beginning. Penn Entertainment plans to open several additional ESPN Bet-branded retail sportsbooks across its Pennsylvania properties by 2025. According to Hollywood Casino York General Manager Shaun Williams, these new sportsbooks aim to provide an exceptional experience for all visitors. “Our partnership with ESPN Bet reflects our commitment to offering the very best to our guests. Whether you’re a seasoned bettor or just here to enjoy the atmosphere, this state-of-the-art sportsbook delivers the ultimate sports experience in a setting like no other,” Williams explained.

In York, the ESPN Bet sportsbook will be situated behind the table games area. In Grantville, the facility will be located near the high-limit gaming room, offering convenient access for visitors.
