The legal battle over the launch of Hard Rock Bet’s sports betting platform in Florida has taken another turn, with the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit denying West Flagler and Associates’ request for a rehearing of their case against the United States Department of the Interior. This result opens the door for Hard Rock Bet to potentially launch its sports betting service in Florida.

According to sources, the appeal court’s judgment would take effect eight days after it is issued, making September 19 the earliest feasible start date for Hard Rock Bet’s platform.

The legal case revolves around the legality of a compact between the state of Florida and the Seminole Tribe.
