Share

An impressive achievement was shown in the first-quarter financial reports for 2024 by the online gaming company FansUnite. With a notable 14% rise over the same quarter in 2023, the firm generated total sales of CA$8.3 million.

Additionally, there was an increase in the gross margin, which came to CA$5.22 million in Q1 2024 as opposed to CA$4.7 million in the same quarter in 2023. Even though the cost of revenue increased by more than CA$500k, FansUnite’s adjusted EBITDA increased by a significant 58% year over year to CA$1.7 million.

FansUnite’s CEO, Scott Burton, expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance, stating, “We are pleased to be able to show that our efforts to reach sustainable growth have been successful with our first quarter results.”

Expansion Strategies and Revenue Diversification

The business took part in North Carolina’s introduction of regulated gambling as it proceeded with its US market growth. Beyond live engagement, FansUnite extended income sectors to diversify revenue streams and lessen the influence of seasonality on North American sports. During the last year, it secured partnerships with many US-based sportsbooks, which allowed its Betting Hero research division to grow.

Just under CA$1.4 million was the cash on hand at the conclusion of Q1 2024 for FansUnite, down from CA$5.18 million in Q1 2023. This is a significant decrease from the previous year. A major contributing aspect was the decline in net cash flows required for financing activities, which came to CA$353k as opposed to the CA$2.69 million returned in Q1 2023.
