ESPN has solidified its commitment to sports betting coverage by renewing its contract with veteran reporter David Purdum. Since joining the network in 2014, Purdum has been a key figure in reporting on the sports betting sector. His extensive coverage spans from business trends and odds to in-depth industry features.

Purdum’s career in sports betting journalism began in 2008. His role has also involved high-profile investigative work, including coverage of scandals such as the Alabama baseball betting controversy, Detroit Lions player suspensions, and Iowa and Iowa State wagering investigations.
