ESPN BET Teases Logo for Upcoming November Debut

Share

The much awaited sports betting company ESPN BET has revealed its brand-new logo in an exciting development. There has been a lot of anticipation among sports fans about this iconic unveiling.

The new logo integrates the well-known “ESPN” into its design, but with a special twist. Ingeniously nested within the “B” is a “E,” signifying the collaboration between ESPN and PENN Entertainment in the development of a betting app.

According to a press release from ESPN BET, “The brand itself features the universally recognizable ‘ESPN,’ while the sportsbook app will be branded an ‘E’ in the ‘B,’ which creatively expresses the idea that ESPN, in partnership with PENN Entertainment, is launching a sportsbook for fans, but at its core is still ESPN, the most trusted brand in sports.”

Countdown to November Launch

Sports fans have circled November on their calendars for ESPN BET’s highly anticipated debut in the world of sports betting. A multi-year, multi-million dollar relationship between Penn Entertainment and ESPN was established in August, which led to this wonderful development.

A thorough rebranding initiative is now being carried out by Penn Sports Interactive, the sports betting and gambling part of Penn Entertainment, to change Barstool Sportsbook into ESPN BET. The goal is to have this makeover finished by November, giving fans of sports betting a fresh and reliable platform.

For an initial 10-year period, Penn Entertainment obtained exclusive rights to use the ESPN BET trademark for online sports betting in the United States; these rights may be extended for an additional 10-year period with both parties’ consent. As a condition of this arrangement, Penn Entertainment agreed to pay ESPN $1.5 billion during the first ten years in addition to giving ESPN warrants worth around $500 million, entitling them to buy 31.8 million PENN common shares.

The deal states that ESPN BET may be issued bonus warrants, entitling them to buy an extra 6.4 million PENN shares, in the event that ESPN BET succeeds in gaining a sizeable portion of the American online sports betting market.

Penn Entertainment, which has permits to run sports betting operations in 17 states, keeps growing its clientele, most recently obtaining a Kentucky license. Late in September, the Bluegrass State legalized online sports betting, paving the way for ESPN BET to prosper in a burgeoning industry. For fans of sports betting throughout the nation, the upcoming debut of ESPN BET promises to bring in an exciting new era.
