British Columbia Lottery Corporation and the Canadian Football League (CFL) have announced a new betting agreement. (BCLC). By this agreement, PlayNow Sports of BCLC will serve as the official sports betting partner of the 111th Grey Cup, the CFL’s top championship game, which takes place in the near future.
As the sole legal gaming operator in British Columbia, BCLC’s PlayNow Sports will now have exclusive rights to offer sports betting for the Grey Cup. This partnership marks BCLC as the latest in a line of authorized gaming operators working with the CFL. Last year, the league introduced FanDuel as its first official sportsbook partner.
Tyler Keenan, the CFL’s chief revenue officer, emphasized the significance of this partnership: “Responsible sports wagering, and the entertainment it provides, is an important part of the future of CFL fandom. Our work with BCLC allows fans to deepen their connection to the league, but more importantly, it strengthens our efforts to support British Columbians and the community.”
The 111th Grey Cup is set to take place on November 17 at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver. This event returns to British Columbia for the first time since 2014, making it a highly anticipated occasion. Fans can catch the action live in Canada on CTV, TSN, and RDS. International viewers will also have access through the CFL’s live-streaming platform, CFL+.
