Betsson has announced its new role as the main sponsor of the BNP Paribas Nordic Open. This tournament is the largest in the Nordics and the oldest indoor tennis competition worldwide. Betsson’s tennis sponsorship history includes partnering with former player Jonas Björkman and supporting ATP tournaments in Latin America.
The tournament, originally known as the Stockholm Open, began in 1969. Over the years, it has seen legendary players like John McEnroe, Björn Borg, Ivan Lendl, and Roger Federer. This year’s event will air on public TV starting October 12. As the main sponsor, Betsson will be prominently featured during the matches, organize on-site activities, and provide betting odds for all games.

Betsson’s sponsorships span the globe, with notable involvement in various sports and football clubs. In Italy, Betsson supports several football teams such as Torino FC. They are also the name sponsor of the Greek Cup in football and the main jersey sponsor for Boca Juniors, Racing de Avellaneda, and Atlético Nacional.
The BNP Paribas Nordic Open is scheduled for October 12–20, 2024, at the Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm.
