Betr, a leading sports betting and media company, has unveiled its latest innovation—”Group Mode” for Betr Picks, a peer-to-peer fantasy sports feature. This launch coincides with the soft debut of the new Betr Sportsbook, strategically timed to align with the kickoff of the NFL season.
The introduction of “Group Mode” brings a fresh dynamic to Betr Picks by enabling users to compete directly against each other, rather than the house. Currently available in Florida and Massachusetts, this feature is set for rapid expansion into additional states, including Virginia, Arizona, Tennessee, Missouri, Alabama, West Virginia, New Hampshire, and Delaware.
Once fully rolled out, “Group Mode” will extend Betr Picks’ reach to 33 states and Washington, D.C., covering approximately 65% of the U.S. population. This significant expansion will allow a broader audience to engage in peer-to-peer fantasy sports, marking a major milestone in Betr’s growth strategy.
In addition to “Group Mode,” Betr has also introduced its new sportsbook in a soft launch phase. Currently live in Ohio and Virginia, the Betr Sportsbook is poised for further launches in Indiana and Maryland, where Betr holds temporary sports wagering licenses. The company also plans to enter the markets in Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Kentucky, pending regulatory approvals.
The new sportsbook marks an evolution beyond Betr’s initial focus on microbetting, offering a comprehensive range of betting options. Users can now access features such as Same Game Parlays (SGP), Same Game Parlays Plus (SGP+), player props, futures, exotics, and traditional markets like moneyline, point spread, and over/unders. These options are available for both pre-match and in-play wagering, enhancing the betting experience.
This expanded platform is powered by the Chameleon platform, acquired by Betr from Fans Unite in May 2023. This acquisition has significantly broadened Betr’s technological capabilities, allowing the company to offer a more diverse and robust betting experience.
Joey Levy, Founder and CEO of Betr, expressed excitement about the dual launches, stating, “We are thrilled to launch Group Mode for Betr Picks and to soft launch the new Betr Sportsbook.”
He continued, “Today’s two product launches represent an important inflection point for Betr – Betr Picks will now be available to 65% of the U.S. population, enabling us to welcome millions of new sports fans to Betr for the first time, while the new Betr Sportsbook puts us on a path towards ramping investment in this vertical and positions us as having made the most progress towards competing in the Online Sports Betting industry amongst the other market-leading fantasy sports pick’em operators.”
As Betr continues to expand its market presence, the company plans further enhancements to both Betr Picks and the sportsbook, aiming to deliver an even more engaging and comprehensive user experience.
