Major agreements have been signed by the well-known gambling company Betr to increase the scope of its online sportsbook and casino. The Betr Casino product will be launched in Pennsylvania through a partnership between Betr and the Cordish Gaming Group, which is The Cordish Companies’ gaming subsidiary, subject to regulatory approval. As part of its growth plan, Betr is entering Kentucky’s and Colorado’s online sportsbooks. Boulter Developments is the party to the agreement in Colorado, pending Colorado Division of Gaming clearance. Notably, Boulter Developments has also invested in Betr’s equity, demonstrating their belief in the company’s creative approach to gaming. At the same time, Betr and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in Kentucky have reached a significant online betting arrangement. This arrangement solidifies the Cherokee Indians’ cooperation by marking both an expansion and an increase in ownership interest.
In a strategic move, Betr has opted not to renew its temporary sports wagering license in Massachusetts, redirecting its focus towards states with a collective population of 23 million. Joey Levy, the CEO of Betr, highlighted the move as a calculated decision for better economics and market reach. Looking ahead, Betr aims to go live with its sportsbook in multiple states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Indiana, Maryland, Colorado, and Kentucky, by the end of 2024. Additionally, the launch of Betr Casino in Pennsylvania is on the horizon.
