Internationally, Ascot Racecourse has been a pivotal participant in World Pool since its initiation at Royal Ascot in June 2019. World Pool, a collaborative effort involving Tote operators from 28 countries, has significantly increased liquidity and improved the betting experience. With World Pool days expanding to 17 in 2023, British and Irish race-days have reaped financial benefits, resulting in higher media rights payments. Racing enthusiasts have enjoyed more stable pools and enhanced returns.
Ascot Racecourse, along with other British racecourses and the Tote, is actively contributing to the ongoing growth of World Pool in 2024. Collaborative efforts involve ensuring competitive race fields on World Pool days and continuous enhancements by the Tote to provide better value and experiences for pool betting enthusiasts.
