Apple has launched a new app tailored for sports enthusiasts, named Apple Sports, which provides comprehensive access to real-time scores, statistics, and more. This innovative application is now downloadable in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. It supports a wide array of leagues including the MLS, NBA, NCAA basketball for both men and women, NHL, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Liga MX, Ligue 1, Premier League, and Serie A. Apple plans to expand the list of leagues featured in the app gradually.
The app allows users to personalize their experience by selecting their preferred teams, tournaments, and leagues to follow closely. It offers detailed information on statistics, lineups, and live betting odds, among other things. Moreover, users have the convenience of linking directly to the Apple TV app to stream live games from Apple and various other streaming services.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services, emphasized the app’s objective, stating, “We created Apple Sports to give sports fans what they want — an app that delivers incredibly fast access to scores and stats.” He further highlighted the app’s ease of use and its availability at no cost in the App Store, making it simpler for fans to keep up with their favorite teams and leagues.
