The US Department of Justice (DoJ) has announced a considerable increase of its crypto crime squad as part of its commitment to bolster operations against crimes connected to cryptocurrencies. In order to investigate and prosecute bitcoin misuse, the National bitcoin Enforcement Team (NCET) will team up with the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS). Since NCET's creation, Quiroz, a former assistant US attorney in the Northern District of California, has served as the organization's deputy director.
