Trump to Address Bitcoin Conference in Nashville on July 27

Former President Donald Trump is set to speak at the Bitcoin conference in Nashville, Tennessee, later this month. The announcement came from the conference organizers on Wednesday, confirming his appearance on the last day of the event, which runs from July 25-27.

Trump will deliver a 30-minute speech at 2 p.m. CT on July 27. The decision to include him as a speaker led to the rescheduling of other participants to accommodate what was described in an email as “a very special guest.”

Speculation about Trump’s appearance grew earlier in the day when several speakers were informed of the changes to the schedule. The confirmation of his attendance marks a significant moment for the conference, drawing attention from both crypto enthusiasts and political observers.

Since expressing his support for Bitcoin and the crypto industry at an NFT gala this spring, Trump has integrated pro-Bitcoin policies into the Republican Party platform. This move contrasts sharply with the Biden administration’s stance on cryptocurrencies.

Trump’s speech is expected to reinforce his image as a crypto supporter, despite his previous reservations about the technology during his first term as president. His participation in the annual Bitcoin gathering was widely anticipated by many in the industry.
