Galactic Hubs grant program has accepted Spielworks’s proposal to integrate Alien Worlds (AW) NFTs into their game, Wombat Dungeon Master (WDM). The objective of the grant is to enhance the functionality of AW NFTs in WDM, which currently holds the 8th rank in Dappradar Games rankings. WDM offers a gamified NFT staking experience where users can stake NFTs, equip their characters, and perform idle “dungeon runs” to receive rewards at the end of a season.
Spielworks plans to make AW NFTs stakable for Mining Power and materials in WDM. The selection of AW NFT collections is currently under consideration and will be announced prior to the launch. Spielworks is also exploring a series of AW x WDM collaboration NFTs, which can be blended to enhance the utility of AW NFTs, specifically ones with low value and high supply. The Byron x WDM collab exemplifies this collaboration, where “base” NFTs were distributed randomly within WDM, and additional NFTs by the artist were used to blend for specific NFTs with extra high Mining Power within WDM.
WDM has over 13,000 daily active users and is one of the largest active Web3 games. It uses an idle game loop that utilizes staking of the most popular NFT collections across multiple blockchains, with over 1.3 million NFTs staked. The Wombat Dungeon Master concept will be expanded into an “Idle Metaverse” called Dungeon Worlds later in 2023.
