Samara Asset Group Plans €30 Million Bond Issue to Boost Bitcoin Holdings

Share

A listed investment company called Samara Asset Group (SRAG) is getting ready to issue a bond with a maximum value of €30 million ($32.78 million). Through the increase of its bitcoin (BTC) reserves and investments in alternative funds, the bond seeks to support Samara’s expanding portfolio.

Samara has designated Pareto Securities as the exclusive manager to oversee multiple investor meetings centered on fixed-income prospects in order to streamline the bond offering. The purpose of this bond, a senior secured Nordic bond, is to support Samara’s diversified investing approach.

Strengthening Bitcoin Holdings and Expanding Portfolio

The funds raised through the bond issuance will be channeled into expanding Samara’s alternative investment funds and increasing its bitcoin holdings, which serve as the company’s main treasury reserve asset. This initiative aligns with the firm’s broader strategy of diversifying into emerging technologies and solidifying its financial standing.

Samara Asset Group p.l.c. will issue the bond, with Samara Asset Holdings Ltd., a special purpose vehicle (SPV), acting as the bond guarantor. The bond will be listed on the Oslo and Frankfurt stock exchanges, offering a minimum subscription of €100,000 for interested investors.

Samara’s CEO, Patrik Lowry, highlighted the significance of the bond for the company’s growth and financial stability. “The proceeds will allow Samara to further expand and solidify its already robust balance sheet as we diversify into new emerging technologies through new fund investments. With Bitcoin as our primary treasury reserve asset, we also enhance our liquidity position with bond proceeds.”
