OKX is making it easier for users across Europe to buy and deposit crypto by teaming up with PayPal. The crypto exchange has announced a new integration that lets users across the European Economic Area (EEA) use PayPal to fund their OKX accounts instantly, using their balance, linked bank accounts, or debit and credit cards.
Good to know
The partnership means users in the EEA can now buy crypto or deposit funds into their OKX accounts using PayPal’s familiar payment options. No extra setup is needed—once users connect their PayPal accounts to OKX, they can start funding their balance right away.
To mark the launch, OKX is offering zero-fee transactions for crypto purchases made via PayPal or when accounts are topped up using PayPal. This limited-time offer is available for one month and only for users in the EEA.
OKX Europe CEO Erald Ghoos said the move aligns with the company’s mission to remove friction from the crypto experience.
“Integrating with PayPal is a major step in our mission to make crypto more accessible to everyone,” Ghoos said. “PayPal is a household name in Europe and beyond, and integrating their trusted payment solutions helps us deliver a seamless experience that meets the evolving needs of our users.”
PayPal’s own leadership echoed that sentiment, noting the importance of giving users trusted tools for accessing digital assets.
“By integrating PayPal with OKX in EEA, we are expanding where our users can use our familiar, trusted platform to purchase cryptocurrency directly or fund accounts used for purchases of digital currencies throughout the region,” said Samba Natarajan, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Europe, PayPal.
The integration allows for a seamless connection—users just link their accounts and begin transactions using PayPal as a funding source. According to OKX, the process supports quick onboarding, high security, and local compliance under the EU’s MiCA framework.
The PayPal integration follows OKX’s MiCA registration, which confirms its regulatory status for offering digital asset services across the EEA. OKX has emphasized its long-term commitment to building local, compliant infrastructure in key European markets. This new partnership aims to bring in more users by offering payment methods they already know and trust.
