New Soccer Focused Metaverse Payfoot Kicking off September 30

Payfoot has announced its fully fan-centric football metaverse and ecosystem, in partnership with Cosmic Wire, a leader in Web3. This “ultimate fan experience” will enable clubs to enter Metaverse and interact directly with their global audience of 4 billion people. In the Payfoot Soccer Metaverse, fans can join in unique events, clubs, team experiences and games enhanced by deep social connections, while exploring the islands of their favorite clubs in the Payfoot ecosystem.

Stadiums nowadays are more than just a place to watch games, they are a way to enjoy the sport. Payfoot pioneers Web3 immersive experiences by releasing its Metaverse and blockchain-based solutions for football clubs and fans. This is not only a new way for fans to come together to celebrate the sport they love, but also a new way for clubs to improve their community, business model and outreach.

The Payfoot virtual world brings together clubs and their fans and offers the following:

• Fans make use of their ‘avatars’ to meet other fans, make friends, share experiences, play games and participate in events, while gaining access to limited club-exclusive offers and merchandise.
• Clubs can expand their platform and grow their fan base by bringing their organization into Metaverse. Using Web3 technology, fans from around the world can interact with their clubs and stadiums in new and more meaningful ways on their own islands. The central island of the Metaverse ecosystem is Payfoot Island, a futuristic eco-island with a range of football-themed attractions, games and activities.

The virtual football matches and leagues are created under the supervision of the Virtual Football Association (www.virfa.net), chaired by former FIFA vice-president Marco Villiger, and actively engaging fans through governance tokens.

The Payfoot Metaverse will be live for beta testing on the 30th of September with the launch being announced on Twitter.
