MicroStrategy Increases Bitcoin Holdings with New Purchase

MicroStrategy has expanded its Bitcoin reserves again. The company’s chairman announced on Monday that it had acquired another 55,500 BTC. This purchase, worth approximately $5.4 billion, was made at an average price of $97,862 per Bitcoin.

The company’s Bitcoin holdings now total 386,700 BTC, acquired at an aggregate cost of around $21.9 billion, averaging $56,761 per Bitcoin. As of November 24, 2024, MicroStrategy has achieved a quarterly Bitcoin yield of 35.2% and a year-to-date yield of 59.3%.

Despite this major acquisition, MicroStrategy’s stock price saw a decline. By the end of Monday’s trading session, $MSTR closed at $403.45, reflecting a 4.37% drop for the day.
