Square Enix, the Japanese role-playing game (RPG) giant known for its megahit Final Fantasy series, is partnering up with Ethereum-based altcoin project The Sandbox (SAND).
According to an announcement by The Sandbox in a new blog post, the two will be releasing the classic Dungeon Siege into the metaverse with a new IP that follows a farmer and his team on a journey to fight invading forces.
Players will be able to create their own original adventures, while collect plots of virtual land and other in game items and gears in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Co-founder and chief operating officer of The Sandbox Sebastien Borget commented on Dungeon Siege’s compatibility with SAND.
