Dallas Cowboys Secure ‘Historic Deal’ With Blockchain.com

Share

While the National Football League (NFL) is loosening up its policies for the crypto industry, the Dallas Cowboys have brought Blockchain.com on board as its crypto partner.

Jerry Jones, Cowboys owner and General Manager, made the announcement at a press conference Wednesday.

Although many call the Cowboys’ sponsorship the the first official crypto deal made by an NFL team, it is technically incorrect. Fan token platform Socios partnered with the New England Patriots in November of last year.

After the NFL placed a temporary ban on crypto and NFT partnerships last September, the organization adjusted its view acknowledging the potential. It now approves sponsorship deals that do not include the promotion of specific cryptocurrencies, including fan tokens.
