Starting January 31, the Associated Press news agency will be releasing an initial collection of NFTs after it announced the launch of its NFT marketplace in celebration of the 175-year history of the newsroom. For those who would like to get early access, they opened up a waiting list.

The NFT’s will be minted on the Polygon blockchain and the marketplace is built by Xooa.

AP’s first NFT series will feature the work of AP photographers and include themes such as climate, war and space. Each of the digital collector items will show details showing the date, time, location and specific hardware and settings used to shoot the photo.

The platform will allow purchases with credit card as well as multiple crypto wallets such as Metamask. It will also be supporting Coinbase and Binance.
