Animoca Brands shared updated figures on its charity initiative supporting communities impacted by the Tai Po fire in Hong Kong. The fundraising effort, first announced on 27 November 2025, closed with HK$2,602,516.64 raised for the Hong Kong Red Cross Tai Po Fire Emergency Appeal.

Around 33 percent of the total amount raised came directly from members of international crypto communities, reflecting strong global engagement in the relief campaign. Their combined contribution reached HK$869,067.7.
The remaining HK$1,733,448.94 came from Animoca Brands, its staff group, co-founder and executive chairman Yat Siu, and several subsidiaries and partner projects including Open Campus, Anichess, The Sandbox and Tower Ecosystem. Moca Foundation also joined the effort, along with other close collaborators.

The company noted that all tokens received were reviewed for liquidity and compliance. Any assets that could not be converted due to limited liquidity or KYC constraints will be returned to the original wallets within five working days.
The transparency commitment follows Animoca Brands broader goal of making Web3 fundraising efforts clear, auditable and accessible for the communities involved.
