Golf fans can now get a taste of the fairway on the blackjack table. PENN Entertainment has rolled out a PGA Tour-branded online blackjack game, the first of its kind, expanding its collaboration with the world of professional golf.
Good to know
The new blackjack game mixes classic card gameplay with a fresh golf-themed design. It includes side bets like poker and pair options, and everything from the table layout to the chips features PGA Tour branding.
PENN announced the launch via X, explaining, “The new game, made possible by our partnership with the PGA TOUR, offers classic blackjack gameplay, plus poker and pair side bets. The golf-themed table features official PGA TOUR logos, custom playing cards, chips and golf-themed celebrations.”
The release makes it clear that this is a unique offering in the online casino space—no other digital blackjack game has ever carried PGA Tour branding.
The game’s launch in Ontario comes just ahead of the RBC Canadian Open, one of Canada’s top annual golf tournaments. With the U.S. Open following soon after, the timing is set to attract golf fans looking to stay engaged between events.
PENN has positioned the game for future rollout in additional iCasino markets, depending on local regulatory approvals.
In May of last year, PENN Entertainment signed a deal with the PGA Tour that named ESPN BET the Tour’s official betting operator. That January agreement also included plans for new betting features, deeper integration with live PGA Tour broadcasts, and more engagement tools for fans.
Jason Birney, vice president of operations at PENN Interactive, spoke on the earlier partnership, saying, “We’re pleased to partner with the PGA TOUR and grow the ESPN BET brand through innovative betting-themed broadcasts powered by our sportsbook. ESPN BET on PGA TOUR LIVE deepens our already robust media and betting integrations with ESPN and creates unique opportunities to engage golf fans in an entertaining way with compelling up-to-the-minute data and insights.”
The new blackjack game is another step in combining golf entertainment with interactive gaming.
