Paddy Power, the world famous bookmaker based out of Ireland, announced today the replacement for their previous Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Patrick Kennedy. Kennedy announced his departure from Paddy Power in May last year at a board meeting, with the company having looked for the ideal candidate ever since.
The new CEO of Paddy Power will be Andy McCue, who was already with Paddy Power in the position of Managing Director of UK and Ireland Retail Business. It was no surprise to those following Paddy Power that it became McCue, as they said in September that McCue “is the ideal leader to drive Paddy Power’s next phase of growth”
McCue will therefore step up his responsibilities significantly and will help brand Paddy Power across the globe, which they have been quite good at so far. His responsibilities will be to ensure that the growth the company experienced and expects will happen and that Paddy Power will establish themselves further as one of the leading bookmakers in the world.
