New Orleans Basketball Players Under Investigation for NCAA Gambling Violations

Four basketball players for the New Orleans Privateers have been suspended indefinitely as they are investigated for possible sports gambling infractions. James White, Jah Short, Dae Dae Hunter, and Jamond Vincent are still out of commission, according to an unidentified person with knowledge of the case who spoke to local media.

Since the team’s defeat by Incarnate Word on January 27, the players have not participated in competitions. Prior to his suspension, White, a vital member of the team, averaged 19.2 points per game as a senior in his fourth year, leading the team in scoring.

New Orleans Struggles Without Key Players

Since losing four of its top contributors, the New Orleans Privateers have faced significant challenges on the court. The team has endured eight consecutive defeats and now holds a 4-25 record.
