Formula 1 has named FanDuel as an official sports betting operator in the U.S. and Canada, giving the racing series its first betting partnership in the American market.

Formula 1 has added FanDuel to its North American betting plans as interest in the series keeps growing across the U.S. and Canada.
The deal gives FanDuel betting integration across Formula 1 platforms, along with editorial content and betting guide features tied to race weekends. For F1, the agreement adds a regulated betting partner in two markets where the series has spent years building a larger fan base.
Jonny Haworth, director of commercial partnerships at Formula 1, said:
“We’re delighted to welcome FanDuel as our new Official Betting Operator in the United States and Canada – markets that continue to increase their love and engagement with Formula.
“As sports betting becomes an increasing component with how fans, especially in the U.S., interact with sport, it’s vital we have a strong and well-placed partner to deliver our strategy and fuel our momentum across the market.”
The FanDuel deal follows another recent betting agreement for F1. In March, Formula 1 signed a multi-year deal with Betway covering Canada, Mexico and several other global markets.
FanDuel also brings wider league experience. The sportsbook already works as an official partner of MLB, the NBA and the WNBA, and now adds Formula 1 betting content to that portfolio.
Karol Corcoran, managing director of FanDuel Sportsbook, said:

“Formula 1 generates an incredible amount of real-time data, and our platform is built to turn that into engaging betting opportunities for fans. This partnership will allow us to deliver even more immersive, data-driven experiences throughout the race weekend.”
The timing lines up with a North American stretch on the F1 calendar. The Miami Grand Prix opens May action, while the Canadian GP at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve follows later. Oscar Piastri and McLaren arrive in Miami looking to build from recent form, although Piastri warned that race weekends can still change quickly.
As per Reuters, Piastri said:
“I think last year, and even 2024, we had a really big advantage around a place like this, and this year we don’t have that, so we’ll have to wait and see.
“I think it’s going to be a weekend full of changes and trying to get on top of things better than everybody else. And if we can do that, then there’s still going to be opportunities to finish higher than maybe where you should.”
